Pedestrian Struck on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden

Police have yet to identify the person.

Hamden police said a pedestrian was struck by a car Sunday evening at the intersection between Dixwell Avenue and Woodin Street.

Capt. Ronald Smith said the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. There was no further information available, however, because the report regarding the case has not been completed, Smith said.

The New Haven Register reported that the person was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.

The pedestrian has not been identified.
