P.L.A.C.E. (Partnerships in Learning and Creative Exploration) has kicked off a fundraising campaign toward completion of its multicultural children's museum at Hamden Town Center Park.
The effort, titled The First 100, is an opportunity to receive recognition at the museum. The first one hundred people or businesses to contribute $1,000 will have an inscribed decorative stone placed along the path to the museum entrance.
Further recognition is given to the first 10 donors to the museum. Artist, Mary Varrone has painted a unique work for each of those early donors.
Mary is shown at right presenting her work to her mother, Marie, an eager and early participant in the program.
Naming opportunities are also available for larger donations.
