Police Arrest Hamden Man for February Burglary
The man allegedly broke into a State Street home and stole tools, according to police.

A Hamden man was arrested on a warrant Saturday in connection with a burglary that occurred earlier this year.
Peter Villano, 54, of 1776 State St., Hamden, was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny and criminal trespass, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.
The charges stem from the Feb. 22 burglary of a State Street home, Smith said. According to police, Villano broke a garage window to gain entry into the home, Smith said, and stole $1,300 worth of tools.

Officer Matthew Barbuto's investigation led to the application of an arrest warrant for Villano, Smith said. On Saturday, police arrested Villano, who was being held by New Haven Police, according to Smith.
Villano was held in lieu of $5,000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on June 21.
