Police Blotter -- Tuesday, Oct. 9
Violation of protective orders, burglary and larceny charges handed out to area residents recently by Hamden Police.

-- Edward Maturo, 67, of 35 Springside, New Haven, was charged Sept. 21 with fifth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bond and was arraigned Oct. 5 in Meriden Superior Court.
-- Mathis McBride, 34, of 72 Fifth St., New Haven, and Kamerye Melendez, 46, of 78 Elsworth Ave., New Haven, was each charged Sept. 24 with two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of third-degree larceny. Both were held in lieu of $5,000 bond and were arraigned Oct. 5 in Meriden Superior Court.

-- Juan Mercedes, 37, of 18 Glemby St., Hamden, was charged Sept. 18 with two counts of violation of probation. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was arraigned Oct. 2 in Meriden Superior Court.
-- Michael Milano, 43, of 50 Burke St., Hamden, was charged Sept. 20 with criminal violation of a protective order. He was arraigned the next day in Meriden Superior Court.

-- Thomas Mitchell, 26, of 26 North Main St., Branford, was charged Sept. 25 with second-degree failure to appear in court. He was held in lieu of $10,000 bond and will be arraigned today in Meriden Superior Court.
-- Ralph Quarequio, 44, whose address was not available, was charged Sept 20 with violation of probation. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was arraigned Oct. 4 in Meriden Superior Court.
-- Edward Shek, 41, of 65 Mossina Rd., East Haven, was charged Sept. 20 with fourth-degree criminal mishief and second-degree breach of peace. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court Oct. 4.
