At about 11:45 p.m. Saturday night police responded to 337 Fairview Ave on the report of a “large house party,” Smith said.

"Upon arrival, Officers observed approximately 200 people at the residence. They were located in the front yard, rear yard and inside of the home," Smith said in an email. "Loud music and yelling emanated from within. The large group immediately scattered upon the arrival of Hamden Police."

The tenant, Donte Glenn, told police that the party was a celebration of the Southern Connecticut State University’s football victory, Smith said. Glenn, 21, an SCSU student, was issued an infraction for Creating a Public Disturbance, Smith said.
