Quinnipiac Men's Hockey Team Are National Champions
The Quinnipiac men's hockey team scored the winning goal just 10 seconds into overtime.

Quinnipiac scored the tying goal with just under 3 minutes left in regulation and then the game winning goal just 10 seconds into overtime to defeat Minnesota 3-2.
Jacob Quillan scored the winning goal and said, “It’s a dream come true, you know. We got it done. We’re gonna celebrate hard tonight, via NCAA.com. Collin Graf tied the game at the end of regulation, according to the NCAA.

After the game was over the congratulations poured in, and the New England Patriots tweeted, "National champions Congratulations, @QU_MIH!"
The NHL tweeted, "No one was happier for @QU_MIH's NCAA championship than @Canes coach Rod Brind'Amour and there is video to prove it." Skylar Brind'Amour, who is a senior member of the team, is the son of Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour, the NHL said.

The team will arrive back on campus 1:45 p.m. Sunday and a celebration at The Bank on Monday night is planned, according to the university.
Gov. Ned Lamont, who attended the game in Tampa, Florida, said on social media "Congratulations to @QU_MIH and coach Rand Pecknold. For the first time in program history, Champions!"
