Quinnipiac Professor, Staffer Competing For An Emmy
Rebecca Abbot and Tim Malloy, who both work at Hamden's Quinnipiac University, have been nominated for an Emmy.

Two staff members of Hamden’s Quinnipiac University have been nominated for an Emmy, according to a post on Quinnipiac’s website.
Professor Rebecca Abbott and Tim Malloy, who is the assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, have been nominated for an Emmy award for a documentary they produced, “Aeromedical.”
The 28-minute documentary is about the “ life-and-death struggle that takes place every week in the skies above Europe on Aeromedical evacuation missions,” according to the post on the website. The film was nominated for an Emmy by the Boston/New England chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
“It’s a medical story and it’s a story of courage. It’s not a political story,” said Malloy in a Quinnipiac press release. “The military does an amazing job of taking care of you when you’re hurt.”
The winners will be announced on June 1 in Boston. For more information about the documentary, click here.
