Quinnipiac University Inducts 29 Students Into Lambda Pi Eta
Quinnipiac University inducted 29 students into Lambda Pi Eta for exhibiting excellent academic performance in the communications field.

From QU: Twenty-nine Quinnipiac University students were recently inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society, during a recent campus ceremony.
The members who were inducted were: Hannah Bailey of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; M.J. Baird of Pembroke, Massachusetts; Michael Brennan of Orange; Christina Bruno of Berkley Heights, New Jersey; Paul Caracciolo of Harleysville, Pennsylvania; Kelly Chagnon of Nutley, New Jersey; Ryan Cuttitta of Lakeside; Sara DiGiamo of East Setauket, New York; James Doig of Liverpool, England; Allie Doremus of Washington, D.C.; Mary Dunford of Bridgewater, Massachusetts; Morgan Emburey of Saint James, New York; Jennifer Enfield of Weston, Massachusetts; Caroline Gottlieb of Staten Island, New York; Chavonah Graham of Teaneck, New Jersey; Vincent Guarino of Dix Hills, New York; Patrick Johnson of Winchester, Massachusetts; Alexandra Kessel of Wading River, New York; Kacey LaBar of Weing New Jersey; Alexia Mazis of Nanuet, New York; Stephanie Miller of West Orange, New Jersey; Louis Napolitano of River Vale, New Jersey; Isaiah Nieves of Manchester; Shelby Petrie of Johns Creek, Georgia; Christina Popik of Seymour; Dejanay Richardson of Bronx, New York; Ryan Spitz of Floral Park, New York; Danielle Yostpille of Farmingdale, New York and Eric Zorn of River Vale, New Jersey.
Students inducted into the society must exhibit superior academic performance in the field of communication and in overall academic performance, having above a 3.0 overall GPA and at least a 3.25 GPA for communications classes. The students also must also rank within the top 35 percent of their class in overall scholarship. The society offers students opportunities to network with other communication professionals, form closer relationships with the faculty, explore graduate education opportunities, and foster community within the School of Communications to promote scholarly discussion.

Lambda Pi Eta became part of the National Communication Association in 1988, and was made the association’s official honor society in 1995. Its main purpose is to recognize, foster and reward students who have outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies. It also aims to promote professional development and create a closer bond between professors and students.
