State, Town Officials Host Meeting Tonight on Future State Street Plans

A meeting will be held tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Westwoods Christian Academy to discuss a variety of issues affecting the State Street neighborhood. 

Among the topics to be addressed will be a presentation from the Connecticut Department of Transportation on the final phase of work at the DOT Bus garage located on State Street.

The final phase will include the remediation and restoration of the wetlands adjacent to CT Transit, located at 2061 State St. A presentation will discuss the reasons for the work, the nature of the work and the schedule for the work.  A question and answer session will be held after the presentation.

The DOT and the town of Hamden invites all interested parties to attend the meeting regarding the upcoming remediation and restoration of the wetlands adjacent to the CT Transit bus garage. This work is required by a Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection consent order.
