Traffic Calming Presentation Next Week

The study looks at the East Side, Ridge Hill, Wintergreen and Hamden Plains neighborhoods of Hamden.

Fitzgerald and Halliday Inc. of Hartford will conduct a traffic calming presentation for the East Side, Ridge Hill, Wintergreen and Hamden Plains neighborhoods of Hamden on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 p.m. at the Miller Senior Center.

The presentation will include a review of initial findings, presentation of survey results and a discussion of draft recommendations. The goal of this presentation is to solicit feedback from the community regarding traffic concerns and draft recommendations for improvements in the East Side, Ridge Hill, Wintergreen and Hamden Plains neighborhoods.

The online survey about traffic and transportation in the neighborhoods is available until June 21. All those interested are encouraged to participate.

FHI is a transportation planning firm hired by the South Central Regional Council of Governments to complete a Traffic Calming Study for the East Side, Ridge Hill, Wintergreen and Hamden Plains neighborhoods. The study will develop recommendations for improving traffic safety and transportation access for all modes of travel to, from, and within the neighborhoods.
