2 Men Use Cloned Credit Card at Grocery Store: Police
Police believe the card was compromised in the Hartford/Rocky Hill area and used to purchase more than $400 in merchandise.
The Clinton Police Department is investigating a cloned/fraudulent credit card case initially reported on Jan. 26, 2016.
The suspects allegedly used the card at the Clinton Stop and Shop and purchased over $400 in merchandise, police said.
"They also used the card at other locations in the state," according to a report from Det/Sgt. Joseph Flynn. "It is believed the card was compromised in the Hartford/Rocky Hill area."
Police described one of the suspects as being a while man in his 20s, with a slender build and brown hair. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, striped shirt, and blue jeans. The suspect's vehicle is described as a black, BMW type, 4-door sedan, possibly a 335i.
