According to the HPD, at about 11:58 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the area of Albany Avenue and Mark Twain Drive for a report of a "serious two-vehicle crash."

Police said officers located a 2014 Ford Fiesta, which was being driven by Service, off the south side of Albany Avenue against a fence.

Officers then located a gray 2009 Infiniti G30, which was being driven by Martin, in the middle of the roadway, fully engulfed in flames, police said.

Martin was ejected from the vehicle and was found unresponsive in the roadway, police said.

Service was located unresponsive inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on scene, the HPD said Tuesday.

Martin was initially transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition at the time, according to police.

Police said Wednesday, however, that he had succumbed to his injuries.

The Hartford Police Crime Scene Division responded and assumed the investigation.
