Big Name To Perform At Hartford Youth Organization's Big Benefit

HARTFORD, CT — Tickets are still on sale for a major fundraiser for Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, an event that will feature a big name in the Disney film universe as its major guest.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford recently announced Tony Award-winning actress and voice of Princess Tiana from Disney’s "The Princess and the Frog," Anika Noni Rose, will perform at this year’s "Great Futures Celebration."

The 2025 "Great Futures Celebration: A Night of Music, Magic & Memories" is Saturday, June 7, at Infinity Music Hall, 32 Front St., Hartford.

"The signature fundraising event is critical to keep costs to families low and affordable while providing life-shaping programs and opportunities to kids and teens in Greater Hartford," wrote the club in an announcement.

This year’s event will also celebrate the youth development organization’s 165th anniversary of helping young people in Hartford reach their full potential.

Originally from Bloomfield, Rose is an acclaimed actress, singer, and Tony Award winner.

She has been named a Disney Legend for her voice acting in The Princess and the Frog.

She was nominated for a Grammy for her performances of the iconic song from the film, “Almost There” and “Down in New Orleans.”

Rose will perform “Almost There” with kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford during the celebration.
