Teen Killed As Toyota, Tesla Truck Crash In Hartford On Christmas: Police
Four Toyota occupants were rushed to the hospital, with the Tesla driver fleeing the scene.
HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating a fatal crash involving two vehicles that claimed the life of a 14-year-old male on Christmas night.
According to the Hartford Police Department, units were called to Cornwall Street at about 9:18 p.m. Thursday in response to a serious motor vehicle crash just south of Hebron Street.
"Upon arrival, officers located a green Toyota Camry and a black Tesla Cybertruck that had collided in the middle of the roadway," wrote the HPD in a release Friday morning.

Police said the Toyota Camry contained four occupants, all of whom sustained serious injuries and required extrication by the Hartford Fire Department.
The HPD said all four occupants were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

One passenger, a 14-year-old male, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The operator of the Tesla Cybertruck fled the scene on foot before police arrival, police said.
The Hartford Police Crime Scene Division responded and has assumed responsibility for the investigation.
