BrightStar Care Of Hartford Under New Ownership

A retired business executive who worked within the health care field has bought the franchise, officials announced.

HARTFORD, CT — A retired business executive has bought BrightStar Care's Hartford location, officials announced.

Daniel McCoy, who worked at Fortune 50 companies within the health care field for more than 25 years, invested in the home care and medical staffing company after spending several years in retirement, officials said in a news release.

"After learning about BrightStar Care, Daniel was drawn to the brand's business model and found it to be the perfect way to provide expert home care to the Hartford community," the news release reads.

McCoy is also the founder and president of the McCoy Foundation, a nonprofit that supports the "wellbeing and needs" of families and students in Africa, officials said.

BrightStar Care's Hartford office serves families in West Simsbury, Bloomfield, Granby, Windsor Locks, Suffield, Hartford, Windsor, and Canton. It provides home care serves, such as personal care, transitional care, senior care, child care and more.
