• Tralanda Humphrey, 37, of New Britain, was charged with violation of probation.
She is being held on a $50,000 bond and was to appear in court on Thursday, Dec. 18.

According to the SPD, on Tuesday, Dec. 16, the SPD's Special Investigations Unit, as well as officers, investigated the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle at a Queen Street motel.
Police said, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers were following up on a Flock License Plate Reader alert connected to an ongoing shoplifting investigation when they located a Subaru parked at a hotel on Queen Street.
Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Claremont, N.H., earlier this month, police said.
"Coordination with Claremont Police confirmed the vehicle’s stolen status," wrote the SPD in a release. "Through surveillance and follow-up investigation, officers identified the occupants associated with the vehicle."
Police learned Humphrey had an active felony warrant for her arrest.
"Officers made contact at the hotel room and took Humphrey into custody without incident on the outstanding warrant," wrote police.
A second individual, Navarro, was also located inside the room, according to the SPD.
"Navarro was found to be in possession of the stolen vehicle’s key and was taken into custody after attempting to conceal himself," police wrote. "Further investigation confirmed Navarro had additional active felony warrants."
Both were transported to Southington police headquarters for booking.
The stolen vehicle was secured and towed from the scene, and evidence related to the investigation was logged by detectives.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
"The Southington Police Department commends the proactive efforts of its officers and the effective use of technology and inter-agency cooperation in removing stolen property and wanted individuals from the community," wrote the SPD.
