CT College Hoops Squad Honored In U.S. Senate
The U.S. Senate last week congratulated the team for a historically successful season this year.
HARTFORD, CT — The U.S. Senate last week gave a thumbs up to one college basketball team from Connecticut —and it wasn't the University of Connecticut.
While UConn's women did win their 12th NCAA national championship, they weren't the only Connecticut hoops squad to earn a national title.
Hartford-based Trinity College's men's team defeated New York University, 64-60, back on March 22 to win the NCAA Division III championship for small schools.
