East Hartford Man Dies In Shooting; Another In Critical Condition
Hartford police responded to the city's second fatal shooting of the weekend on Sunday.
HARTFORD, CT — An East Hartford man has died and another man is critical condition after a shooting in Hartford on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Hartford police responded to a report of a person shot in the area of Washington Street at New Britain Avenue at around 2:53 p.m. Sunday.
While they were helping a victim, they were told a second victim was inside 451 Washington St. They found that person dead in a third-floor apartment with "apparent gunshot wounds," police said.

He has been identified as 30-year-old Jaime Holmes of East Hartford.
The surviving victim, also a 30-year-old man, was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in "critical condition."

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are investigating the shooting, and anyone with information is asked to call the Hartford Police Department Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
The shooting was the second in Hartford this weekend: A 24-year-old Hartford man died on Saturday after bullets were fired into a car he was in, Fox 61 reported.
