Fire Damages Hartford Home Tuesday Night: HFD

The blaze damaged a home undergoing renovations.

HARTFORD, CT — Firefighters are investigating the cause of a roof fire that badly damaged a home on Saybroke Street in Hartford Tuesday night.

According to the Hartford Fire Department, units were called to 214 Saybrooke St. for a reported single-family home that was undergoing renovations.

"Crews found an isolated attic fire and quickly brought it under control," wrote the HFD. "The fire was contained to the attic area, and sections of the roof were opened to ensure full extinguishment."

No injuries were reported in the blaze.

The cause remains under investigation by the Hartford Fire Marshal’s Office.
