Five East Hartford High School Grapplers Win CIAC Divisional Titles
As a team, the Hornets placed second at the CIAC Class LL divisional championship meet Saturday.
TRUMBULL, CT — Five grapplers from East Hartford High School turned in championship performances at the CIAC Class LL divisional wrestling meet Saturday at Trumbull High School.
Individual weight class champions were Isaac Quiles (132 lbs.), Jaeckez Mendez (144), Riley Storozuk (150), Yaxier Rivera (157) and Dravyn Roberts (165).
Two other Hornets were placewinners, enabling East Hartford to compile 220.5 points, good for second place behind the 260.5 of champion Fairfield Warde. 26 teams scored points in the state's largest division.

The State Open is scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
