Hartford Ballpark Job Fair May Bring New Careers To Many
The Urban League of Greater Hartford is hosting a large job fair at Dunkin Park on Thursday, June 5.

HARTFORD, CT — The home of the Yard Goats this week will, perhaps, be the home of where many people will begin a journey to a new career.
On Thursday, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Urban League of Greater Hartford will connect hundreds of Hartford area job seekers with dozens of local employers at its 25th annual Employment Empowerment Expo.

The free career fair event will be held at the YG Club of Dunkin’ Park at 1214 Main St. in Downtown Hartford.
The job fair aims to empower attendees to pursue their desired job or industry and present employers with a qualified and enthusiastic selection of diverse candidates.

“Our career fair is the only one of its kind, providing people at various stages of their career journey, an opportunity to present their skills and interests to companies committed to strengthening their workforce from within Hartford’s diverse neighborhoods,” said David Hopkins, president and chief executive officer of the Urban League of Greater Hartford, which has been serving Connecticut for over 60 years.
“Companies representing financial services, healthcare, retail, hospitality, government, and more, because they know we draw a rich group of job seekers ranging from high schoolers to seniors who can fill a variety of jobs.”
“This Expo will embody the power of teamwork and community partnerships,” added Nicole Porter, the Urban League of Greater Hartford workforce program manager. “We eagerly anticipate our employment partners and workforce clients to discover their perfect match and forge meaningful employment connections.”
Additional features at the event include interview preparation, headshots, entrepreneurial support, and workshops on employability skills training, professional development, resume writing and critique, mock interviews, and appropriate business attire.
Many of the businesses and organizations to be represented at the June 5 Employment Expo work with the Urban League of Greater Hartford throughout the year.
The Hartford Yard Goats organization is the event’s presenting sponsor.
HomeGoods will be recognized as the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s 2025 Employer Partner of the Year.
The Urban League of Greater Hartford is a community-based, not-for-profit 501(c)(3), established in 1964 as the National Urban League’s 66th affiliate.
