An initial investigation has found that the bus was slowing down and pulling over to the right side of the road to pick up a student when it was hit from behind by the passenger vehicle, police said.

The bus driver reported back pain and was transported to an area hospital, police said. None of the children on the bus complained of injuries, and they were taken to school on an alternate school bus that was sent to the scene.
