Hartford Police Conducting OUI Checkpoint Thursday Night
From 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday, officers will be stationed near a Hartford intersection to look for people driving under the influence.
HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police officers will be on the lookout for people driving under the influence on Thursday night.
From 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday, officers will be stationed in the area of 1081 Albany Ave. to conduct an Operating Under the Influence Enforcement Checkpoint, they said in a news release.
The checkpoint is part of the Hartford Police Department's ongoing OUI enforcement program. It is supervised by the HPD Traffic Division and funded through a grant from the state Department of Transportation's OUI Enforcement Program.

Officers said on Twitter that they're legally required to notify the public ahead of conducting OUI checkpoints.
