Hartford Police Will Conduct OUI Checkpoint Thursday Night
From 5 p.m.-1 a.m., officers will be stationed near a Hartford intersection to look for people driving under the influence.
HARTFORD, CT — Hartford police officers will be on the lookout for people driving under the influence on Thursday night.
From 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday, officers will be stationed in the area of 640 Wethersfield Ave. to conduct an Operating Under the Influence Enforcement Checkpoint, they said in a news release.
The Hartford Police Department is conducting the checkpoint as part of an ongoing OUI enforcement program, which is supervised by the department's traffic division and funded through a grant from the state transportation department.

Officers are legally required to notify the public ahead of conducting a checkpoint.
