Hartford Runner Finishes In Top 50 At Boston Marathon

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford runner placed in the top 50 at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford finished in 50th place overall — and in 43rd place among the male runners — with a time of 2:24:56, according to the Boston Athletic Association. He was the top finisher among the more than 350 Connecticut runners who competed in the race.

Hackett, a West Hartford native, competed in the Olympic trials in 2016 and 2020.

He qualified for the 2020 trials at the California International Marathon in Sacramento, where he finished with a time of 2:18:57.

Everett graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford, and he currently works there as an assistant track and cross country coach.
