Strong Storm Emerges For Northern CT: Here's What You Need To Know
The National Weather Service said a strong storm is forecast to emerge and greatly impact the weather this week. Here are the new updates.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service said "a period of heavy rain and gusty winds" are anticipated, especially late Thursday into early Friday in northern Connecticut.
"Main concerns during this period are heavy rainfall and gusty winds," the weather service said.
Wind gusts between 35-50 mph are possible late Thursday and early Friday, the weather service said. Either a wind advisory or a high wind warning is possible. There will also be a chance of a thunderstorm, the weather service said. An inch or two of rain is also possible.
