Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued As Severe Storms, Hail Possible Friday

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties.

Information via the National Weather Service:

"A cold front crossing Friday will bring the potential for thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. Some storms may become strong to severe, with the potential for locally damaging wind gusts and isolated large hail. Please monitor the latest forecast for this potential of strong to severe storms Friday."

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. South wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3am, then a slight chance of showers between 3am and 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 4pm, then a slight chance of showers between 4pm and 5pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. South wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
