Liquor License Pulled At Site Of East Hartford Killing: Reports

A 39-year-old Hartford man who had just celebrated his birthday was shot and killed early Saturday morning.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — An East Hartford bar that was the scene of a fatal shooting over the weekend has had its liquor license suspended, according to reports.

WVIT Channel 30 reports the Humacao Restaurant and Bar on Silver Lane had its liquor permit suspended Monday by the state Department of Consumer Protection.

As a result, the bar cannot serve alcohol there until further notice, according to WFSB Channel 3.

The East Hartford Police Department said a Hartford man identified as Theodore Wallace, who had just turned 39 on Friday night, was shot and killed in the incident at the crowded bar.
