Long Prison Sentence For Hartford Sex Abuser Of Children: State
The man sexually abused a 9-year-old girl in 2022, according to state officials.
HARTFORD, CT — A 35-year-old Hartford man will be behind bars for more than two decades following his sentencing last week in Hartford Superior Court for sexually abusing children.
Sharmese L. Walcott, state’s attorney for the Hartford district, said Monday that Connecticut Superior Court Judge Kevin C. Doyle on Thursday, May 15, sentenced Noel Martinez, 35, of Hartford, to a total sentence of 25 years in prison, suspended after 10 years served, followed by 15 years of probation.
On Feb. 19, a jury in Hartford Superior Court found Martinez guilty of one count of first-degree sexual assault, one count of fourth-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact of a victim under the age of 16, and risk of injury to a minor.

According to evidence introduced at trial, in February 2022, the state Department of Children and Families contacted the Hartford Police Department to report they received a report of sexual abuse.
Walcott said the agency was contacted by the victim’s father to report that his child was sexually assaulted by the mother’s boyfriend, Noel Martinez, five years earlier, when the victim was 9.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Alexandra Arroyo and Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney Jordan Amendola, with the assistance of Inspector Carlos Ocasio, Paralegal Specialists Kelly Randall and Lakisha Malave, and Intern Ana Faoro.
“I appreciate the trust that the victim and her family placed in the prosecutors, attorneys Arroyo and Amendola, and I am thankful for the hard work and depth of attention they put into this case,” Walcott said.
