'Millennial' Brunch Chain Opens Bakery In Hartford, West Hartford Site Nearly Done
The fast-growing Hartford group has another site in Hartford, along with locations in New Haven, Springfield, Mass., and Dallas, Texas.
HARTFORD/WEST HARTFORD, CT — A small, but growing, bakery/restaurant chain announced the recent opening of a new location in Hartford, with another opening coming soon in West Hartford.
The city-based restaurant group recently announced the grand opening of its brand-new bakery site at its original South End location of 615 Franklin Ave. in Hartford.
"The Place 2 Be" is a brunch-theme eatery that calls itself a "millennial food concept founded in 2015."

"It’s inspired by a true love for brunch, Instagram, and our customers," wrote the company on its website. "The menu is a balance of comfort and innovation, celebrating food that appeals to both novice and extreme foodies with a twist, all encompassing our key mantra: 'Go Bottomless.'"
This operation, called "The Bakery by TP2B," began production earlier this month.

The facility, company officials said, will supply freshly baked bread to all "The Place 2 Be" locations.
Those sites include another Hartford location at 5 Constitution Plaza, a soon-to-open site in West Hartford, as well as sites in Springfield, Mass., New Haven, and Dallas, Texas.
The new Hartford bakery features a menu of assorted pastries and an all-day offering of breakfast and lunch items.
"The decision to open the bakery was inspired by the longstanding tradition of in-house breadmaking that has been part of the brand since its inception," wrote the company this week.
As the new Hartford site has opened, The Place 2 Be’s new bakery café location in West Hartford’s Blue Back Square at 65 Memorial Drive.
According to the company, the West Hartford site is "entering the final stages of construction and slated to open in mid to late summer."
“This bakery represents more than expansion—it represents perseverance,” said Gina Luari, founder and chief executive officer of "The Place 2 Be."
“To open something so rooted in our original vision, in the same neighborhood where it all began, is incredibly meaningful for us. We’ve faced tremendous hurdles over the past year, but our team continues to rise.”
The Bakery by TP2B is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and welcomes guests to enjoy house-made breads, pastries, and a fresh take on neighborhood breakfast and lunch.
The chain made headlines a year ago when it was embroiled in a landlord/tenant dispute at its former Hartford site over rent and facility damage caused by flooding.
This resulted in the chain's other Hartford location moving to Constitution Plaza.
