The Hartford Police Department is still investigating a violent collision reportedly involving a fleeing suspect and another vehicle.

HARTFORD, CT – Hartford police have identified the two accident victims, one who died, in Sunday night's fiery collision that reportedly involved a vehicle fleeing police.

According to the Hartford Police Department Tuesday morning, the fatal crash victim was identified as Adrian L. Service, 25, of Burnham Street, Hartford.

Police said Service was driving the vehicle that was struck by another car fleeing police late Sunday night on Albany Avenue.

Service died at the scene of the accident, said police, who released details of what happened on Tuesday morning.

Police said officers located a 2014 Ford Fiesta off the south side of Albany Avenue against a fence.

Officers then located a gray 2009 Infiniti G30 in the middle of the roadway, fully engulfed in flames, police said.

The operator of the Infiniti was ejected from the vehicle and was found unresponsive in the roadway, police said.

The operator of the Fiesta was located unresponsive inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on scene, the HPD said Tuesday.

The operator of the Infiniti was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to police.

The Hartford Police Crime Scene Division responded and assumed the investigation.

Police identified the critically injured motorist as Jammie Martin, 34, of Sharon Street, Hartford.

Citing police, both WTNH Channel 8 and WFSB Channel 3 reported the vehicle Martin was driving had fled a traffic stop.

Reportedly, there were multiple motor vehicle violations attached to the Infiniti, and police had called off the pursuit out of safety concerns.

Police reportedly said there were drugs and guns found inside the Infiniti, but that aspect was not addressed in a release issued Tuesday morning.

This investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to call the Hartford Police Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
