Popular Hartford Nightspot Temporarily Shutters Amid Probe: Reports

Police are investigating a barroom dust-up involving a bouncer and a customer, a video of which went viral this week.

HARTFORD, CT — A popular downtown bar in Hartford has voluntarily suspended its liquor license pending a police investigation into a recent barroom brouhaha, according to multiple reports.

WFSB Channel 3, citing the state Department of Consumer Protection, reports the owners of the Russian Lady, 191 Ann Uccello St., Hartford, have temporarily shuttered as police probe what happened on Nov. 4.

According to WVIT Channel 30, a video of the incident, which recently went viral in the past week, shows an apparent assault involving a nightclub bouncer and a male customer.

WFSB, citing Hartford police, said the security officer claimed the customer, who was treated and released, fell down a flight of stairs during the altercation earlier this month.
