Snow Squalls Forecast In Hartford/Tolland County Sunday: Timeline Released

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — Snow squalls on Sunday afternoon may drop up to an inch of snow in northern Connecticut on Sunday afternoon.
The timeline for the snow squalls is likely between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts near 40 mph are also forecast on Sunday.
"Snow squalls are possible across interior Massachusetts and Connecticut tomorrow afternoon to evening. These intense bursts of snow and wind can quickly reduce visibility and be very dangerous to those traveling on highways. Use caution if you encounter a snow squall on the road tomorrow," the weather service said.

Hartford County forecast details:
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Southwest wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
Sunday: Scattered snow showers, mainly between 11am and 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 37. Southwest wind 9 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 18. West wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday: Scattered snow showers, mainly between 11am and 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 34. Breezy, with a southwest wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
