The Junior League of Hartford has opened the doors of its 16th "Designer Show House" presented by exclusive media partner CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens). The home will be featured editorially in the January 2026 issue of CTC&G and on cottagesgardens.com.

The Designer Show House is the pre-eminent fundraiser for the JLH, and features a select group of interior designers, artists, and landscape architects who are hand-picked to renovate, restore and reimagine the interior spaces and surrounding grounds of a notable home in the greater Hartford area.

This year’s Show House is located in the historic West End of Hartford at 820 Prospect Ave.

It is a 1902 Tudor revival home built by noted Hartford architect Edward T. Hapgood.

Since 1979, the triannual Show House has raised more than $1.7 million for the JLH’s charitable projects and programs, which currently focus on addressing the impact of systemic poverty on women and families in Greater Hartford.

The proceeds from Show House allow the Junior League to provide much-needed resources, grants, and volunteer time to a multitude of Connecticut nonprofits.

Funds are raised through the sale of tickets to tour the transformed home, special events, and sponsorships.

The house is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays-Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at hartford.jl.org/ShowHouse or at the door. Friday, May 23, is the final day to tour. Additional special events at the Show House include Happy Hour events on Friday, May 9, and May 16, an organizing class with Melissa Porter of Neat Method Hartford on May 14, and a Designer Panel featuring several Show House Designers on May 17. Tickets to all special events are at hartford.jl.org/ShowHouse.
