Ferrell was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on May 30.

The incident started Tuesday, May 6, at about 12:31 a.m., when a trooper at Troop H in Hartford was trying to pull into a restricted access parking lot at the barracks.

Police said the trooper observed the gated entryway was completely obstructed by a white Porsche Macan sport utility vehicle, just beyond posted signage indicating "Restricted Area No Trespassing Beyond This Point."

According to police, as the trooper was unable to access the gate, the trooper placed the cruiser in park and approached the Porsche to check on the occupants.

"Upon approaching the driver-side window of the Porsche, the Trooper observed a male in the driver seat and a female in the front passenger seat, both in various states of undress, engaged in lewd activities," wrote Connecticut State Police on Tuesday.

The trooper asked both to "compose themselves and exit the vehicle, to which they complied," police said.

As additional units arrived, the male operator was identified as Ferrell, and his female passenger was identified as Lysik.

While speaking with Ferrell, troopers observed clear signs of impairment and requested he submit to a field sobriety test, police said. Ferrell agreed and failed the test, police said.

According to police, troopers spoke with Lysik separately.

Police said Lysik claimed Ferrell had picked her up at a different location.

"While no direct admission of a transaction was made, three loose $10 bills were later located in the top area of Lysik's purse, indicative of being placed there recently," police wrote.

Lysik later explained to troopers she does engage in "sex work," police said.

Both Ferrell and Lysik were escorted into Troop H for processing.

Police said a subsequent inventory search of Lysik's purse revealed cash, as well as suspected narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia.

According to police, wax folds containing a white powdery substance were located, to which Lysik explained was fentanyl.

The substance was later field tested and showed a positive presumptive result as fentanyl, police said.

In addition, a white, rock-like substance was also located, which was also field tested and showed a positive presumptive result as crack cocaine, police said.
