WATCH: Hartford Announces Two Major Restaurant Projects
Two downtown restaurants are planned in coming months, including one themed toward the UConn Huskies.

HARTFORD, CT — Downtown Hartford's restaurant scene will grow by two in the coming months following last week's announcement of two new eateries pegged for construction, including a new itineration of a beloved University of Connecticut bar/restaurant.
In one of former Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin's final acts as head of the city, he hosted a press conference Friday on the opening of Huskies Tavern at 103 Pratt St. and The Drake at 900 Main St.
Bronin, who relinguished the mayorship to Democrat Arunan Arulampalam at midnight Monday morning, hosted officials with two different development groups behind the restaurant plans.
The Huskies Tavern site is an offshoot of the beloved bar/restaurant in Storrs that most UConn alums remember visiting during their college years.
