Windsor Man Accused Of Shooting At Vehicle In Hartford: Police

The incident happened last March on a major interstate highway during the early morning hours.

HARTFORD/WINDSOR, CT — A Windsor man has been accused of firing a gun at another vehicle while both were traveling on Interstate 91 in Hartford earlier this year, police said Thursday.

Connecticut State Police said Elias Dejesus, 24, of Windsor, was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal attempt at first-degree assault, and first-degree reckless endangerment.

Police said Dejesus turned himself in to Troop H in Hartford following a warrant for his arrest.

He was held on $75,000 bond and presented in court Wednesday, May 14, with his case being continued to June 27, according to online court records. His bond was also increased to $350,000.

State police said the incident happened on I-91 north at about 1:59 a.m. on March 26.

That's when police investigated a shooting incident in which "multiple bullets" were shot from one vehicle into another vehicle in Hartford.

The incident happened near Exit 32 on I-91, police said, adding no one was injured in the incident.
