Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hartford/Tolland County
On Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for northern Connecticut. Here is what you can expect.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — A winter weather advisory has been issued for northern Connecticut from 1 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday.
"A mixture of light snow and light freezing rain/freezing drizzle. Total snow accumulations a dusting to 1" and ice accumulations of a light glaze," the National Weather Service said Sunday morning. "Plan on slippery road conditions for the Monday morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Main concern is for light freezing rain/freezing drizzle resulting in icy roadways for the Monday morning commute. This includes the Hartford and Springfield Metro
areas. Temperatures should rise above freezing Monday afternoon."

Monday: Rain showers and freezing rain likely, possibly mixed with snow showers before 4pm, then a slight chance of rain showers between 4pm and 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 38. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Monday Night: Rain, mainly after 10pm. Low around 38. Southeast wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
