Foxwoods Waitresses Hope to Stomp Out Shoe Policy
The casino's shoe policy requires heels but waitresses would like to choose their own footwear.

Cocktail waitresses at Foxwoods are fighting for the health of their feet in the latest round of contract negotiations. The casino’s waitresses are part of the United Food and Commercial Workers and this time around, the casino’s requirement that female servers wear two-inch heels and pointed toe shoes is under fire.
According to a report in the News Times, many of the casino’s waitresses have worked there for 15-20 years and they claim the shoe requirement has caused injury and the policy is intended to push them out to make room for younger workers.
