Ledyard Firefighters Respond To 2 House Fire Calls
Both overnight calls were related to issues with furnaces.
LEDYARD, CT — Firefighters responded to two possible home fire calls in Ledyard overnight.
The first was at 1:55 a.m. Friday when the Ledyard Emergency Communications Center received multiple calls reporting a house fire in the 500 block of Pumpkin Hill Road.
The fire chief arrived shortly after and reported a possible furnace issue which was later confirmed. The house was ventilated and deemed safe for the homeowner to reenter, according to a Ledyard Fire Company post.

The second call was at 2:43 a.m. when crews were dispatched to Philip Lane for the report of a possible house fire.
The caller was reporting smoke in the garage. Firefighters arrived and found smoke throughout the home.

Crews confirmed this was a furnace issue as well. The house was ventilated and again deemed safe for the homeowner to reenter.
