Ledyard Man Begins 30-Day Prison Stint for Molesting Teen
James Robinson of Ledyard was arrested for and convicted of providing alcohol to a teen and molesting her.

Ledyard resident James Robinson, 47, was arrested in March 2015 after he gave alcohol to a 15-year-old girl and then molested her.
According to the Norwich Bulletin, the teenager told her mother about the occurrence and the mother contacted police and brought her daughter to the hospital.
Robinson was drunk that day in March and was arrested the day after the occurrence.
He started a 30-day prison sentence that comes with five years of probation. As part of said probation, he is banned from drinking alcohol and cannot have unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 16.
Robinson is married with two children and the judge reportedly approved an exception to the ‘no unsupervised contact’ rule when it comes to his family, provided he is not consuming alcohol.
He is not allowed to have any contact with the female teenager he molested for the remainder of his life and does not have to register in the sex offender registry.
