Ledyard Police Blotter, July 2-13
The following arrests were recorded at Connecticut State Police Troop E. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all are innocent until proven guilty.

Arrests
July 2
Dana Stewart, 44, of 11 Amsterdam Ave. in New York, N.Y., simple trespass, $92. According to the Connecticut State Police Casino Licensing and Operations Unit, Foxwoods MGM security contacted State Police in regards to an answer date to be referred to the Centralized Infraction Bureau.
Accidents
At about 11:39 a.m. on July 3, a 2006 Ford F-150 driven by 32-year-old Randy E. Bowen of Putnam was heading south on Route 117 and tried to make a U-turn at the Route 214 intersection. The vehicle struck the driver side tire and fender of a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by 25-year-old Timothy P. Dixon of Griswold, who was driving north on Route 117. The accident caused minor damage.

At about 8:13 a.m. on July 4, a 2002 Honda CRV driven by 45-year-old Carol Mones of Gales Ferry was stopped on Christy Hill at the traffic light at Route 12 when a 2007 Ford Econoline driven by 37-year-old Heather Millbach of Gales Ferry started to pull out around Mones but stopped due to traffic. Millbach took her eyes off Mones’ vehicle for a moment to check traffic and ran into the back of the vehicle, causing moderate damage to the CRV and minor damage to the Econoline.
At about 9:29 a.m. on July 13, a 2010 Saab driven by 59-year-old Sixto Gonzalez Jr. of New York, N.Y., was traveling west on Iron Street when Gonzalez swerved to avoid a deer in the road, striking a utility pole. The accident caused heavy damage to the vehicle and pole.

At about 3:45 p.m. on July 13, a 2009 Mazda Six driven by 18-year-old Ana F. Funes was traveling on Route 117 when it went off the southbound side, striking a mailbox and rocks and causing heavy damage to the vehicle. Funes told police she fell asleep prior to the accident.
Drowning
State police received a report of a missing person on July 9, from Foxwoods Resort Casino. The wife of Sijoon Park of Flushing, N.Y. said her husband left home July 7 for a one-day bus trip to the casino and she had not heard from him since. He had told her he was going on a hike on Lantern Hill. Using photos that he had texted his wife, police were able to determine the path he took. Police K-9 units were used on July 9 and 10 and a dive team was brought in on July 10 to search Lantern Hill pond. Park's body was found in the pond the night of July 10.
