Man Steals Police Cruiser, Leads CT Police On High Speed Chase: Report
The driver hit over 100 mph with police in pursuit, according to reports. Eventually, police used stop sticks to end the chase.

LEDYARD, CT — A Rhode Island man stole a police cruiser and led police on a chase before being stopped in Ledyard, according to reports.
Jared Remson, 27, of Pawtucket, was charged with reckless driving, engaging police in a pursuit, failure to drive in a proper lane, larceny, and interfering with an officer/resisting, WPRI 12 reported.
Remson is accused of stealing a Providence police cruiser. Connecticut state police spotted the stolen vehicle on I-95 near exit 89 at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to ABC-6.

A state police cruiser followed as the stolen car took exit 88 in Groton, then accelerated and went on Route 117.
Following a chase at speeds of over 100 mph, Ledyard police used stop sticks to deflate the stolen cruiser's tires, WJAR 10 NBC reported.

The vehicle was stopped on Route 2A near Harris Fuller Road.
Remson is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Monday. He will also be extradited to Rhode Island to face additional charges.
