Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. LEDYARD, CT — A man wanted on seven warrants was arrested in Ledyard on Monday while trying to recover an abandoned car from an auto repair shop, police said. Police responded to a Lambtown Road address Sunday on a report of an abandoned car, a 2014 Dodge Charger. Police determined that Timothy Holdgate, 51, of Norwich, owned the car and was the subject of seven active arrest warrants. Police received a call Monday at 10:12 a.m. reporting that Holdgate was at an auto body shop trying to get his car back. Police responded and took Holdgate into custody. Police said Holdgate had 1.6 grams of crack-cocaine on him when he was arrested. He was charged with three counts of violation of probation, two counts of first-degree failure to appear in court, two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court, and possession of narcotics. He was held on a combined $345,000 cash/surety bond.
