Man Wanted On 7 Warrants Busted Trying to Retrieve Abandoned Car: Ledyard PD
A man arrested was arrested Monday at an auto shop in Ledyard and held on a high bond, according to police.
LEDYARD, CT — A man wanted on seven warrants was arrested in Ledyard on Monday while trying to recover an abandoned car from an auto repair shop, police said.
Police responded to a Lambtown Road address Sunday on a report of an abandoned car, a 2014 Dodge Charger. Police determined that Timothy Holdgate, 51, of Norwich, owned the car and was the subject of seven active arrest warrants.
Police received a call Monday at 10:12 a.m. reporting that Holdgate was at an auto body shop trying to get his car back.

Police responded and took Holdgate into custody. Police said Holdgate had 1.6 grams of crack-cocaine on him when he was arrested.
He was charged with three counts of violation of probation, two counts of first-degree failure to appear in court, two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court, and possession of narcotics.

He was held on a combined $345,000 cash/surety bond.
