Motorcyclist Killed In Ledyard Crash, ID Released: Police

The victim is 34-year-old, according to police.

LEDYARD, CT — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday night when he crashed into a stone wall on Fanning Road.

Police identified the victim as Julian R. Lorenzo, 34, of Oakdale.

The accident happened Thursday around 9:52 p.m. in the area of 44 Fanning Rd., according to Police Capt. Ken Creutz.

Emergency personnel received a 911 call reporting a motorcycle crash. Police said Lorenzo was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said initial evidence shows Lorenzo had been traveling east on Fanning Road on a 2023 Harley Davidson. Lorenzo’s motorcycle left the road while negotiating a curve and struck the stone wall, police said.
