Motorist Displayed Weapon During Ledyard Road Rage Incident: PD
A Hamden man is facing multiple charges, including threatening, according to police.

LEDYARD, CT — A Hamden resident is accused of brandishing a weapon and threatening another motorist during a July road rage incident.
Nazareth Daniels, 22, of 1199 Whitney Ave., Apt. 520, was charged on a warrant with first-degree threatening, breach of peace, first-degree reckless endangerment, and following a motor vehicle too closely.
Daniels turned himself in to Ledyard police on July 28, and he is due to be arraigned in Superior Court in New London on Aug. 11.

The charges stem from an incident July 11, just after 9:30 p.m. on Shewville Road, police said.
According to police, Daniels was following another vehicle too closely, then Daniels and the other driver both came to a stop on Shewville Road. At that point, Daniels is accused of brandishing a firearm and threatening the other motorist, police said.

Citizens assisted with the investigation after the department circulated images of the suspect’s car on Facebook, according to police.
