Multiple Rounds Fired At Occupied Vehicle In Ledyard: Police
A vehicle approached an occupied vehicle in front of a Ledyard home and gunfire followed, according to police.

LEDYARD, CT — One vehicle approached another and multiple rounds were fired in Ledyard on Friday morning, according to police.
Police received a call at 11:44 a.m. from a Shewville Road resident. The caller said a vehicle had been fired on in front of their home.
Police arrived at the address and found a vehicle with a driver and passenger. Both people confirmed that another vehicle approached theirs and fired multiple rounds.

No one was injured. The people at the scene of the crime are cooperating with law enforcement, police said.
"The Ledyard Police Department wants to assure residents that there is no ongoing danger to the community," police said in a statement. "Investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and are collaborating with neighboring jurisdictions to evaluate whether the situation extends beyond Ledyard."

A shooting was also reported Friday morning in New London, though there are no reports that the two incidents are related.
