Police Seize Crack Cocaine, $14,500 From Ledyard Man: Report
A 41-year-old Ledyard man was arrested after an investigation into the sale of cocaine within southeastern Connecticut.
The Ledyard Police Department, with assistance from The Regional Community Enhancement Task Force, arrested a Ledyard man and seized a car, cell phones and more.
According to Ledyard Police, Damian C. Bryant, 41, of 149 Spicer Hill Rd., Ledyard, was charged with the following:
- Possession of Crack Cocaine
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of Cocaine over 1 ounce With Intent to sell
- Possession of Crack Cocaine over 1 ounce With Intent to sell
- Possession of Marijuana over 4 oz.
- Possession of Marijuana With Intent to sell
- Risk of Injury
Bryant was placed under arrest when a search warrant was conducted at 149 Spicer Hill Rd. after an investigation into the sale of cocaine within southeastern Connecticut.
Seized during this investigation was over 1.3 ounces — approximately 37 grams — of powder cocaine packaged for sale, over seven grams of crack cocaine, over one pound of marijuana, over $14,500 cash, a Toyota pickup truck, and three cell phones.
The Regional Community Enhancement Task Force is comprised of detectives and officers from southeastern Connecticut, formed to combat the heroin and drug epidemic in the area and to improve the quality of life for citizens, police said.
