Road Rage: Ledyard Man Pulled Gun, Threatened To Shoot Victim, Police Say
A man is facing charges after police say he followed a driver off a highway while aiming a gun at them.
LEDYARD, CT — A man is accused of pointing a gun and threatening to kill a victim in a road rage incident, according to state police.
The victim said they were driving the left lane on I-395 southbound in Montville when a black Dodge Ram pickup suddenly braked to a stop in from of them, almost causing a crash.
The pickup then started driving again and the victim did as well, but the truck braked to a complete stop just a short distance later.

The victim moved into the right lane to pass the truck when they saw the truck's passenger-side window was down with the driver pointing a gun at them.
The victim told police that they heard the man say, "I'll shoot you." The victim then accelerated to put distance between them and the truck.

The victim exited I-395 at exit 5 with the pickup still directly behind them with the driver pointing the gun at them through the windshield, police said. The victim then called 911 and relayed the truck's license plate number.
Police later met with Damian Brower, 28, of Ledyard. Brower said he was involved in a road rage incident and had pointed his .357 magnum revolver at the other driver involved because "he was in fear for his life," according to police.
Police found the gun, which was loaded with five rounds. Police seized the gun as evidence.
Brower was taken to State Police Troop E in Montville where he was charged with first-degree threatening - display of a firearm and second-degree breach of peace.
He was released on $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on May 8.
