Sketch Released Of Ledyard Robbery Suspect

Ledyard police have issued a rendering of a man wanted in connection with the robbery and assault of a church employee.

LEDYARD, CT – Police on Friday released a computer-generated likeness of a suspect wanted in connection with the Jan. 13 robbery at Ledyard Congregational Church.

Police are hoping the rendering will lead to tips and help identify the assailant.

The suspect robbed and assaulted a church office employee. The man was last seen inside the church building, at 722 Colonel Ledyard Highway, around 8:50 a.m.

The victim had a visible injury to her face, and she told police a man had assaulted her and taken valuables, according to police.

Police described the man as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male, approximately five feet, nine inches tall, with short dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white Nike sneakers.
